Tipping on a CFD (Customer Facing Display) provides customers the ability to verify what cashiers are ringing into the system and provide a stress-free way for the customer to leave a tip without having to consult the cashier and eliminating the cashier asking if the customer wants to leave a tip.
To enable tipping on the CFD, users must enable the following settings in Connect:
- Within Connect select Options > Terminal Role. Select the desired Terminal Role and navigate to the Checkout tab. Set Digital Signature to Yes.
- Within Connect select Options > Terminal Role. Select the desired Terminal Role and navigate to the Calculations tab. Set Tipping Enabled = Yes, Tip at charge = Yes, Tip Percentage to Yes or No (No for Dollar amount). You may set pre-configured tips by filling in Custom Tip 1 - 4. You may also set one of your Custom Tips as a Default Custom Tip by select a custom tip in the Default Custom Tip dropdown.
