What is an Open Check/Tab?
Venues have the option to offer the Check/Tab feature on their terminals. An Open Check/Tab typically happens at a restaurant or bar where a customer wants to order more items as the event continues.
How to enable Open Checks/Tabs
- Login to Connect and select 'Options' from the left side menu.
- Click 'Employee Roles' from the Options drop down menu.
- Click on the specific Employee Role to edit.
- Once the pop-up window appears, click on the 'Payment' tab and toggle 'TAB' to 'Yes.'
- Click "Save Employee Role" bottom of the page.
Open Checks/Tab in Activate
Once logged into Activate with the Account that has been assigned to that specific Employee Role, an 'Check' button will be seen as an available payment option.
