There are three ways to issue a refund within Activate Classic. There is an option to refund the full order from the 'All Orders' tab. Individual items or the full order can also be refunded from the Order Details page.
Note: Issuing a refund via Activate may require an Admin/Manager PIN to complete. Those settings are configured within the 'Orders View' tab of the Permissions Sets.
How to issue a full order Refund using the 'All Orders' tab
- Once logged into Activate, pull up the left side menu by holding down on the Account name in the top left corner.
- Select 'All Orders' from the menu and search for the order that needs to be refunded.
- Once the order has been found, tap on the '$' refund icon on the order line.
- Enter the Manager PIN if prompted.
- Select the reason for the refund if prompted.
- To ensure orders are not refunded by mistake, two confirmation messages will pop up. Select 'Refund' for both to complete the refund.
Note: The order will automatically move from the 'Completed' to the 'Refunded' orders tab once complete.
How to issue a single item Refund
- Once logged into Activate, pull up the left side menu by holding down on the Account name in the top left corner.
- Select 'All Orders' from the menu and search for the order that needs to be refunded.
- Once the order has been found, click on the order to pull up the Order Details.
- Find the item to refund and swipe a finger to the left on the item line to pull up a red 'Refund' button.
- Enter the Manager PIN if prompted.
- To ensure orders are not refunded by mistake, two confirmation messages will pop up. Select 'Refund' for both to complete the refund.
How to issue a full order Refund on the order page
- Once logged into Activate, pull up the left side menu by holding down on the Account name in the top left corner.
- Select 'All Orders' from the menu and search for the order that needs to be refunded.
- Once the order has been found, click on the order line to pull up the Order Details.
- Click on the yellow 'Issue Refund' button.
- Enter the Manager PIN if prompted.
- Select the reason for the refund if prompted.
- To ensure orders are not refunded by mistake, two confirmation messages will pop up. Select 'Refund' for both to complete the refund.
