A Connect Role is the set of permissions established for a user's Connect account. With a Connect role, users can have full or limited access to settings depending on the options selected in the assigned role.
How to Create a Connect Role
- Login to Connect and select 'Options' from the left side menu.
- Select 'Connect Roles' from the 'Options' drop down menu.
- Select 'Add Connect Role' and enter in a Name for the role (Ex: All Access - No Delete, Admin, Report/View Only, etc.).
- Select the options based on the access needed.
Connect Role Options
When creating a Connect Role, select YES to enable all options within a section or select options individually in the subsets.
- If YES is selected for the Section, all options in the subset are set to YES.
- If NO is selected for any options within the subset, the section will change to NO as well.

Connect Role Descriptions
All
- This will set all options to YES or NO.
- Every set has a toggle for all options to be set to YES or NO.
- If ALL options are set to NO then the user will have Dashboard view only.
Analytics (Reports)
- Inventory: Access to run all Inventory Reports
- Custom: Access to run all End of Show Reports and Live Report
- Employee: Access to run all Employee Reports
- Vendor: Access to run all Vendor Reports
- Venue: Access to run all Venue Reports
- Mobile Ordering: Access to run all Mobile Ordering Reports (if applicable)
- Advanced Analytics: Access to all Advanced Analytics (if applicable)
Orders
- View Only: Access to view all Orders and Checks. Allows the download of the digital receipt
- Refund: Access to refund Orders. Requires that access to View Only is set to YES
- Resend Receipt: Access to resend receipts via email. Requires that access to View Only is set to YES
- View Signature: Access to download and view digital signature captures. Requires that access to View Only is set to YES
- Edit Date: Access to edit the date of the Order. Requires View Only access set to YES
Options
- Account Group: Access to create/edit/delete Account Groups for reporting purposes
- Category Group: Access to create/edit/delete Category Groups for Activate users. Falls under Static Category Groups of Food/Drinks/Alcohol
- Commission Groups: Access to create/edit/delete Commission Groups for reporting purposes
- Connect Roles: Access to create/edit/delete Connect Roles
- Custom Fees: Access to create/edit/delete Custom Fees
- Custom Tender: Access to create/edit/delete Custom Tenders
- Day Parts: Access to create/edit/delete Day Parts for item availability

- View: Access to view all Events via the Calendar within the database and access to Stand Sheets

- Allows access to the Humanity Shift Planning Integration for Timeclock
Inventory
- View: Access to view Inventory (All subsets of Inventory)
- Create: Access to create Inventory Items, Warehouses, Distributors, etc.
- Edit: Access to edit within Inventory (Items, etc.)
- Delete: Access to delete within Inventory (Items, etc.) (not recommended)
- Edit Cost of Goods (Inventory Settings): Access to edit the COGS (must have edit Inventory set to YES)
- Edit SKU Number: Access to edit the SKU number on Inventory Items.
- PO Charges: Access to edit Purchase Orders
Layouts
- View: Access to view the Layouts
- Create: Access to create Layouts
- Edit: Access to edit Layouts
- Delete: Access to delete Layouts (not recommended)
Settings
- View: Access to view the Settings module and each section within it.

Corporate Lock
Note: View and Edit access to Items is required.
