Classic FreedomPay Connections
Follow the steps below to update the connection settings and resolve the "Lane Closed" error on an IPP350 device.
- Reboot the device by holding the Yellow and # buttons at the same time.
- Once it gets to the page full of tiny text (image below), enter in 2634 + green button + F button
- 3 for TDA
- 0 for Configuration
- 0 for Communications
- 0 for Select Comm Type
- Select 3 - USB<>HID
- Then hit the green to save
- Select Red 3 times to go back
- Finally, choose 1 - yes to save and reboot
APL/SDK FreedomPay Connections
The new FreedomPay APL/SDK gateway option with IPP350 devices requires a different connection than the traditional configuration.
Method 1:
- Once powered on, watch for the screen (white background/black text) that has tiny text. Security will precede it.
- Enter this quickly while on the tiny text page
- 2634
- Green Button
- 3 for TDA
- 0 for Configuration
- 0 for Communications
- 0 for Select Comm Type
- 4 for USB<>SerialConv (CDC)
- Green Button to Save
- Red Button to go Back (hit 3 times)
- 1 for Yes to Save and Reboot
Method 2:
Once configured you can also manage the communication port by following the steps below:
- Once the IPP is fully booted up press the F key 5 times
- Select Change Port
- Use the arrows to scroll to USB<>SerialConv (CDC)
- Select Save
